Both these medications are given for treatment of Prostrate cancer. They are differnt. Zoladex is given for release of hormone while Casodex is given to block the hormone effect.

GISERELIN or Zoladex is a synthetic peptide analogue of gonadotropin-releasing hormone used to treat prostate cancer, endometriosis, and advanced breast cancer.

BICALUTAMIDE (Casodex®) blocks the effect of the male hormone called testosterone. Prostate cancer responds to the removal of androgens. Bicalutamide is used in combination with another medicine. Generic bicalutamide tablets are not yet available.
