I thought long and hard about this one... as i have had people of all religions and NO religions offend me. infact every question I have ever asked had more then plenty of rude responses. even from fellow christians and even to honest valid questions. as well as seen some very offensive questions. I have come to the conclusion i need to just overlook those who are here behaving childish and hope for an honest answer from an intellegent person or just stop logging in. So i thnk rudeness has no culture, religion, race, or bounderies.

Without counting the trolls...
Hmm...
I'd actually have to say that Atheists are the rudest; in the last hour I have seen no less than FOUR questions saying that people are stupid or mentally retarded on the basis that they are religious. But we (the Christians) do tend to ask a lot of dumb questions. I'd say overall we're pretty 50/50.

Most likely the Christians will say it's the atheists and the atheists will say it's the Christians. Because we R&Sers are zany like that.
I think the rudest group collectively would have to be the trolls, and they come in all religious shades.

Stick around for a few days.
The answer is obvious.
The problem is that the majority of Christians here ignore don't consider the rude Christians to be Christians, and the atheists here don't consider the rude atheists to be atheists. But the casual observer shouldn't have problem telling which group is the worst.

Atheists. I get much more hate mail from atheists than I do from Christians, although I have expressed opinions that "both sides of the =fence" seem to believe that I have no right to hold.
I have to wonder where some of these people grew up, Communist Russia? Cuba? China? where free speech is non-existent and people are not allowed their opinions.
PS: Everyone seems to know what a troll is and no one has a good definition for a troll, except to call people they don't like trolls.
Yeah, I get that.

Depends what side of the fence you sit on.
Christians think Atheists are rude and offensive because of some of the questions that are asked about their deities.
Atheists think that anyone who can justify eternal torture and believes that they could enjoy paradise while a majority of the human race is in excruciating pain are offensive.
I think it is probably a tie, but just because something causes you to question your belief or lack of belief, doesn't mean it is rude. That should be a good thing.

The know-it-alls of every group, because they consider themselves too superior to show common courtesy to the rest of us.

I think wit is sometimes mistaken for rudeness. The truly rude people just spout out stupid crap in a demeaning way. Ex: Francine.
