Because they have no need to feel a threat on their own beliefs... I am a Christian but I understand that so many ignorant people think that religiously inspired works (Or lack, thereof) are an attack on their personal beliefs, and thereby boycott to stop themselves from being drawn into "propaganda". Anyway, I think it's irrational. Anyone who cannot make up their mind about what they believe on a cosmic level and is threatened by a work of fiction (That they believe could make them change what they think!) probably doesn't deserve to be preaching to others.

to commence out, boycotting any action picture is an expression of freedom of speech as long because of the fact the boycott is non violent and the protesters do no longer bodily end all people else from entering into the theater. so some distance as Christians "forcing their ideals on others," that cliche is so overused, that is getting down good nerve-racking to pay attention or study. What ideals that Christians profess do you merchandise to: "Love Your Neighbor As your self", "Do Unto Others As you may Have Them Unto You" ? Do you have a situation with the "Thou Shall no longer Kill" or "Thou shouldn't dedicate Adultery" from the ten commandments? i think of that : the atheists and agnostics (a minority)attempt to impose their values at something individuals. the universal public of individuals have faith in a greater robust ability even nevertheless no longer anybody practices a suitable faith or worships in a church, synagogue, or mosque. you intend that atheists ought to boycott faculties because of the fact they delude little ones with Bible thoughts. particularly, that coaching Bible thoughts isn't allowed in public faculties. If mothers and fathers deliver their little ones to parochial faculties, there might desire to be a clever expectation that faith will study. All in all, your arguments are very specious

It is one of the most sinful, pieces of trash, that has been composed in many years. A real slam against the Christians or any other faith that believes in God. In the end it tells about how children kill God and then they can run rampid and so anything they want to do. Now if that isn't a terrible de-gradation of God or Allah, I don't know what could be worse. The man who has produced this movie is a full fledged atheist. We all need to boycott this nasty piece of trash.

>Or maybe it's because the atheists accept it as fantasy.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but that sounds like a pretty good reason why atheists aren't boycotting it.

I don't boycott movies because of their content, I only stay away because of their quality. I would have gone to see The Passion of the Christ if it had been a good movie instead of a dressed-up gorefest.
On the other hand, there are witches in the bible?

Two words: Armoured polar bears.
OK, three words.
How can you hold out against the awesomeness of armoured polar bears? One of whom is voiced by Al Swearingen himself!!
Plus, Sam Elliot as a cowboy with an airship! Zeppellins, armoured polar bears, cowboys - even the addition of some kind of mythical skydude can't make this non-awesome.

Hahahaha...
Because atheists aren't hung up on hatred for anything that isn't atheistic.
If it's a good fictional story, it's a good story. If it's a good true story, it's a good story.
If it tries to change the laws we live by, or if it dictates and forces upon us a way in which we should live our lives that is contrary to reason or logical freedom, only then do we have a problem with it.

Whether it's harmless fantasy or deliberate pro or anti- religious propaganda, I go to see a movie based on personal interest/ curiosity. I saw "Passion of the Christ" even though I'm an atheist. I wish I would have saved my money though...what a piece of crap.

I boycott movies ONLY if I think that the main character is ugly (for example, I can't stand Tom Hanks, and that's why I still haven't watched the DaVinci Code though I LOVE the book)
