Actually folks Christmas isn't the same day everywhere. Christmas Day in Denmark is on the 24th. Germany may alo be the same.
So it's not such a daft question - to which the answer is...25th December.

Same day as everywhere else (25th December) but on the 6th of January we celebrate ''Little Christmas'' and a dying tradition is that on the 6th Jan we celebrate Oiche Nollaig na mBan (Women's Christmas). This is when the women of the house take the day off and go out for the day while the men stay at home and clean. It used to be because of the fact that many Irish women were housewives although nowadays more women work outside the home and hence the tradition is dying! :O)
