I always use Biofreeze for muscle pain. I am an active softball and basketball player and I constantly am aching from pain. I have tried Icy Hot but...it just wasn't working for me. All I felt was the cool/hotness on my skin, but nothing deeper than that. Biofreeze goes deeper than that cool/hot feeling. But if you are looking for cheap...than go for Icy Hot. It shouldn't really matter if the muscle pain isn't that severe. You could also try using an electric heating pad or the heating pads used to relieve women's cramps. It works also when you need a quick fix and cheap one too!!

Too much, since it doesn't work worth a hoot. Go to an oriental store and buy Salon Pas. It's much better.
