Calling the police to come and check him out seems to be the standard procedure these days.

I wouldn't say "that's Hollywood." I'd say "that's the *new* Hollywood"--and they're just responding to the *new* generation and what it demands, cheap archetypal images that everyone can understand (including all those in India, where the film will make half it's revenue) overpowering the acting and/or dialogue. The general population is getting dumber by the decade--pretty soon you'll just be starring at an a-ss that farts for 2 hours, and you won't even ask yourself why it's farting ("Idiocracy"), simply because that's the paradigm capable of making the most money for the movie producers worldwide. American films have peaked but be thankful for what you've got now.

LOL wow does it feel good to have that new A**hole that all these people just ripped into you? They are right though. White people deal just as much as Black people. Color does not play any role in whether one is a drug dealer or not.
If he is acting suspicious (looking around a lot, ducking into the alley frequently with someone who just walked up, exchanging baggies of some unknown substance for cash with people who just walk up, etc.) then he is probably a drug dealer. If he is standing there, minding his own then he is probably waiting for a ride. Don't jump to conclusions just cause he is a different race than yourself. Its rude for one and may get your butt kicked for another.
Also the other answerer's are right, if your not looking to buy than why do you care? if you are looking to buy than you should have a dealer and know how to get a hold of him.

You sound very prejudice. How can I tell is the white guy standing on the corner is a drug dealer or just doesn't have a car?
Why is it when we talk about people, we have to say what color they are? People are people.

do not judge so harshly!!! you could be kind and ask if he needs a lift to the store .if you think he really is a criminal call the police they can ask if he needs help and it might keep you from getting your butt kicked with that attitude! but you must be careful there are many bad people out there.he might be afraid of you too! unless you have a reason to think he is a drug dealer that is a very mean thing to say!!! besides i know a lot of folks who have drug problems and deal and they are white!!!!!

If he was white would it be easier for you be able to tell if he was a drug dealer or just a guy without a car?.

Well suspicious behavior and looking around at all of the cars going by like he is guilty of something would probably be a good clue that he is at least on drugs or perhaps hustling the corner. That would go for any color person on a street corner.

Just watch and see what he does, and don't label him just because hes black and hes standing on a street corner, he really could just not have a car and could be waiting on someone to pick him up.

Ask him for some drugs.

If he sells you some, chances are pretty good he's a drug dealer.

Although you may feel stupid for asking, it's better than actually being stupid for making assumptions.
