My friend and I r arguing and she says that a cucumber is a fruit but i think it is a vegtable who is right and why?

As people have already mentioned... It's a fruit since it has seeds.

Vegetables are generally leaves, stalks, roots, stems.

Sorry but you are wrong and she is right because the cucumber is a creeping vine that roots in the ground and grows up trellises or other supporting frames, wrapping around ribbing with thin, spiraling tendrils. The plant has large leaves that form a canopy over the fruit. See it says fruit sorry.

It is technically a fruit, because it has seeds, and is "a mature ovary of the plant." I never knew that either. Sorry!

Seeds= fruit
cucumber has seeds, therfore a fruit
