year 99 does anyone have a clue how much and what i need to get it? just the vin? it does have a chip in it!!! pls help

It does have a chip for the PATS system. The easiest method is going to the dealer, you would need to provide the VIN and proof of ownership.
If you can get someone to make you a copy an existing key, you could use these instructions to program it:

when I got mine back in 99' they were about $45 and you just put in one key after another with the new one last and it programs itself IF you have TWO keys already, if you lose one (only have one to start with) then it was around $150 because they have to PROGRAM the new key

If you hate the dealership then go to a mechanic shop where they charge 3 times more than the dealer. Where I work it would cost you $25
