With all the spanking questions, has any user on here ACTUALLY been given a spanking in the last 6 months?

I wonder, with all the spanking debates on yahoo answers, have any users actually been spanked recently, within 6 months? I have not met any kids who are spanked these days, and wonder how many actually are actually spanked. I am not looking for people to answer that they were spanked growing up 5, 10, or 20 years ago. Looking for recently.

I am looking for punishment spanking, not bedroom play.

If you know of kids who are spanked, such as your friends kids, or your own kids, please share.

Yes, I have 3 daughters all under 11, and ALL have been spanked in the last 6 months. We hold our children to a very high slandered, something that seems to be lost in today's day and age. Funny thing is, when you set the standard high, you could be amazed what your children can accomplish.

As to spanking, that is just a small part of our parenting strategy, not the whole thing. My husband and I are believers in consequences for wrong doings. This is, but not limited to spanking.

I tapped my nephew on the butt because he kept grabbing for a razor after I had already said no about one hundred times. He ended up grabbing it later when his dad was around and cut his fingers up (poor baby). My rule is: If they are doing something to hurt themselves, spank. He knows that his aunt doesn't let him get away with stuff like that. I was spanked though, and it never effected me. I have almost a 4.0 GPA and a clean record. It doesn't effect kids as long as the punishments aren't frequent or severe. That goes for every other punishment also. Getting spanked (hard) with a belt and being locked in your room for months can both cause some emotional problems. I hope this answered your question.

I haven't spanked cause I just have a 10 month old. BUT I have nothing again spanking and I have clear that spanking is not child abuse, child abuse id beating the h*** out of a kid, that ain't happening in my house. Sometimes a swat on the butt is more than needed.

i have two coworkers that spank. What is funny before having kids they swore they never would. One used to be a teacher and said that she would not spank that she learned in college other ways of dealing with behavior. Well you know what none of the worked. She spanked him and now he is wel behaved little boy

Not sure you'll find any due to they are still kids and aren't bored like we are.

Now I know kids who get spanked now and then. And they behave just fine for me, when I watch them. But then again, I am allowed to spank them when needed. I absolutely REFUSE to watch kids whose parents don't believe in spanking.

My friend spanks her 3 and 5 year olds regularly, especially the 3 year old. I can tell my un-spanked son is disturbed by seeing it, so luckily we only get together a few times a year.

I spanked a kid last week while babysitting. He is 7.
I had the parents' permission, so when they refused to go to bed, I put him over my knee, took off his pants, and gave him thirty with the hand. When I told the boy's father what happened, he woke the boy up, took off his pants, and gave him ten with the belt.

My friend spanked her sons butt for punching his 5 yr old couzin....just the other day...she never spanks only when its somthing serious like that.....It still happens but most moms wont anymore...

I was round my friends today and her daughter is 2 months younger than mine (shes two this month) and she was really playing up and ignoring everything so her mum smacked her bum. didnt do much though coz she wears nappies. I know a few older parents who smack their childrens bums (with their hands, not paddles like a few on yahoo have said they do).
