the humane society did my dogs for $10.00.oos some rescues can do them too. the cost isn't in getting the microchip placed it is the registration with the microchip company by mail that is costly. and everytime you have to change your address or other information. you have to pay more money to the micor chip company to do it. but placeing the chip is quick, painless and in some places free.

well i know military get a little bit of a discount but if you not military then call around to local vets that's about the only place you'll get it or maybe if there's a college with vet techs they may need to practice micochipping and they might be able to charge a low fee but I'm not sure if they can or if they do
remember you pay for them to put the chip in the dog then you have to pay to have that chip registered with a company

Some dog rescue organizations or non-profit dog organizations do it at a low fee. You can also try your local Animal Shelter.

My vet does it when he spays and neuters. Its only like 30 bucks extra!

If you do it any other time it is like 45 or something. (At least where I am at, it may be different because of your location)
