I wash my hair about 2-3 a week, but I have thick wavy hair. The longer you go without washing your hair, the better. You want the natural oils from your scalp to get to the tip of your hair, that's why they say brushing your hair a hundred times makes it shiner: The oils get to the tips. If you wash your hair too much, the oils will be washed away and you will eventually end up with dry and frizzy hair. If you don't wash your hair for too long, it becomes greasy and you have somewhere to be not allowing you to wash your hair, try putting a LITTLE amount of baby powder onto your hands and then wipe them over your greasiest areas.. hope this helps

Every Saturday evening whilst in the bath using Fairy toilet soap. We had no shampoo then. Others might have had some but WE did not. We did not have hot water in abundance in those days either so children were bathed (using the same water) one night and parents had a bath (again using the same water) on a different night of the week. I don't think that many people washed their hair more than once a week in those days. It was the same with clothing. No-one had clean clothes each day back then. Things were washed when they were dirty and not before.

It is actually really really good for you not to wash your hair everyday. There are certian oils in your hair that are good for your hairs health, and by washing your hair everyday you are washing out these oils. But, it is true that some peoples hair gets really greasy, mine for exmpale, I cant go a day without washing it. So, it really depends on your prefrence, if your hair dosnt get greasy, then go a day or two without washing it, or every other day. If your hair does get greasy easily, then its up to you. There are plenty of wys to hide greasy hair if you didnt wash it that day. You can wear a hat, or a hair scarf, bandana, or if you pull all your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of your neck hides a little bit.

I was talking to a stylist that did my hair and mine is rather thick and course and she said once a week would be fine. But it totally depends on what type of hair you have. Every 2 to 3 days is fine and if you find your hair getting greasy invest in a cheap bottle of baby powder, put some on your finger tips and rub it through your hair it will get rid of the greasy look.

I wash mine every 2-3 days, usually 2 though. After that, it starts to get greasy. It also depends on the water. I find my hair will curl in Texas but straighten out in DC.

It depends on your hair type (thin, thick, curly, flat, etc.) Thin, flat hair will need more frequent washings to make sure oil build-up doesn't keep hair down and seem flat. Thicker, stronger hair can go for 2-3 days with out washing. Use a pH balanced shampoo that is appropriate for daily use. Good luck!

I wash my hair every two days.
The second day, it is a bit greasy, but fine to put up nicely. :)

I think you just have to try every day/two days/few days/once a week or whatever, and see what works best for you. As soon as your hair feels horribly dirty and greasy, that's when you need to wash it.

My hair is very think and wavy. In the winter I wash it every three days in the summer every two days. It just depends on how oily my scalp is as to how often I wash. I also have colored hair to cover some gray and not washing it so often makes the color last longer.
