Vikings but without suffering extreme casualties. The vikings had amazing weaponry, harsh tactics, and an amazing force called the berserkers. First off, the Vikings would make their weapons by forging the metal and cooling it down by driving it through a slave who was helping make the weapon. The Vikings believed that ever single person had a date to die, so therefore they would live everyday to its fullest. Hence doing crazed things. Also once a comrade fell the others would pay him no heed, for it was better to continue on with the assault. Lastly, the amazing beserkers. These "Machines" were so high off adrenaline they would complete amazing feats. So I hope you can tell that even though the aztecs would have know the land better, It still would have been an amazing battle.

In a battle between romans and vikings. The romans would have an advantage in armor where they wear metal the vikings wear fur and chainmail and helmets but not very much metal. Also the romans were brilliant strategists. On the other hand vikings are strong but they lack the ability to keep a clear mind before a battle. Now if its on the viking territory the vikings have the upper hand cause they know the territory and they can have an ambush attack. Another advantage people dont really think about it gets extremely cold where the vikings are. So the romans having all metal armor and it not even covering their arms and legs they can simply die of frost bite or hypothermia. Plus they can get lost and deal with the wild life. Where the vikings no how to deal with the harsh weather and wild life they have a huge advantage. So at the end the vikings have a higher chance of winning. If u include everything I included itll be close as the vikings have a 79% of winning than the romans at 21%

The reasons are because:
(A) The Aztecs didnt have much of a militay. They only had minor skirmishes between tribes nothing major.
(B) The vikings were like the spartans. They were born for war. Nearly all males were soldiers. Also they were great invaders.
(C) The aztects would killing themselves off. If they had a major war then they double or triple the excesive amount of Human sacrafices. therefore reducing capabilities of winning.
(D) (although im not sure if the vikings had this) The Aztecs did not have many diseases so the vikings which were imune to some already would bring diseases over.

Well, the Aztecs went into battle to capture the enemy not meaning to kill them, since they believe killing them was a wast of blood, because they rather sacrifice them for their gods.
That's why they were surprised at the Spaniards when they actually kill them. Of course there were deaths during battle by just review their history. The Spaniards called them uncivilized for having these rites but they were (Europeans in general) worse than that.
