I'm definitely not a Christian and I don't celebrate Christmas.
Christmas is not a celebration of the birth of Jesus. You can tell because those who celebrate Christmas hardly ever get poor old Jesus a present; they get stuff for just everybody BUT Him.
Poor old show, innit?

because everyone around me is Christian. I celebrate it as little as possible. I have to take the day off from work because my babysitter is christian and I cannot lock my kids in the closet while I am at work. My family tells my children if they are good, santa will come and bring them presents. My children are good for the most part.
Basiclly if I did not have children, I would not celebrate it at all. There were a couple years I did not celebrate it.

Christmas simply replaced the origonal pagan festivals of this time which would have involved parties and fun and family etc ...
Ie yule... Look closer... Easter was the spring sex god festival, chrismas the winter festival.
And how close are christina ones to the summer solictice June 21, and autumn around Halloween and er All Saints?

Of course, if I weren't a christian, I didn't have reason to celebrate christmas...
It would be a commercial date only.

You will be pleased to know that Gregorian calendar was not in Vogue when Jesus was born. So, how come you are so sure about the exact day of his birth?
