It's nature for me - I've not been out in the middle of nowhere for a while and I'm starting to feel a bit . . . perturbed.

I know what you mean about being in the middle of nowhere. I live there.
Though there is a road past my house, there are only about 4 cars a day that go down it.
When the cornfields are growing we call it our privacy fence.
There are birds and squirrels in the yard.
Our closest neighbors are never around and I need binoculars to see them if I even wanted to.
Yeah, peaceful.

Exactly ditto. Just walking down country lanes, over a few hills will do it.

Even better to be out on the mountains and moorlands.

The 'perturbed' feeling increases as time goes on, then I have to drop everything and just go...

Being at home with my girlfriend and our two cats on a rainy day with the windows open, listening to the thunder and watching the lightening and knowing that we're way out in the middle of the country, the middle of nowhere, and there's nobody near by and we have food, water, and each other. That's all we need.

Crossing bare common, in snow puddles, at twilight, under a clouded sky, without having in my thoughts any occurance of special good fortune, I have enjoyed a perfect exhileration...
I am the lover of uncontained and immortal beauty. In the wilderness I find something more dea rand connate than in streets or villages. In the tranquil landscape, and especially in the distant line of the horizon, man beholds somewhat as beautiful as his own nature.

Sitting on top of a peak and watching the little things in nature. I find a lot of peace in writing and self-reflection as well.

I get a sense of peace when I can sit and think about how my small things that stress me out day-to-day are really unimportant when it comes to the big picture of everything and what is important.

Sleep. Not death, but actual sleep.
Ice cream! minutes on lips, forever on the hips
movies! I am waiting for a really good movie that will AHHH me.
Family! they love you, and drive you nuts at the same time
Ocean! there will always go to be someone who is going to stop you from enjoying it's beauty.
Nature! I love nature. Walking, hiking, climbing mountains, etc. Sometimes, even nature can be cruel, and comes crashing with a vengeance. I live on a mountain, with lots of beautiful nature around me. Deers in the garden and birds over the pond. even birds poop on you, as it did happen last Saturday to yours truly.

Sleep behind the foreseen eye. To a world without limits, without rules.

O sleep! O gentle sleep! Nature’s soft nurse, how have I frighted thee, That thou no more wilt weigh my eyelids down And steep my senses in forgetfulness? Why rather, sleep, liest thou in smoky cribs, Upon uneasy pallets stretching thee, And hush’d with buzzing night-flies to thy slumber, Than in the perfum’d chambers of the great, Under the canopies of costly state, And lull’d with sound of sweetest melody? 2 Henry IV

I agree with your statement about nature. We have three bird feeders in our yard and it is very relaxing to watch them. I also like to go down to the beach at sunrise or sunset.
