The "little lower than angels" passage refers to his lowered stature and image for the "suffering of death". He was not by any means lower in power than God, for he was God(1 John 5:20).

Hebrews 1 & 2 are VERY explicit:

Jews were made a little lower than the angels.

Jesus was made a little lower than the angels.

Jesus was fully human. Jesus shared in our nature (which contradicts the virgin birth in most theologies.)

AFTER death Jesus was elevated above the angels.

Hebrews 1 & 2 has Jesus coming into existence when he was born, created ex nihilo as a Jew. Gospel of John 1 says Jesus was the Word and was there all along as a part of God.

These are the only 2 I can think of at the moment--The one where Jesus was in the garden of Gethsethame and he was praying (not verbatim) "Father please let this cup pass from me. Not my will be done, but thine." Also, when Jesus rose Lazarus from the grave, the bible says "Jesus wept."
