protein is used to repair muscle tissue after a workout, during the workout the muscle tears and during rest the muscle repairs itself-each time growing larger. Protein does not build muscle it only repairs muscle tissue. You can increase your muscle size by having a more effective workout, to do this consume a good easily absorbable carb drink this helps. and would be better-try a sugary drink and remember to keep your hydration levels up.

yes, protein has magic pixi dust in it and if you drink some and workout after 3 days you will be able to lift a car over your head.

sorry to be an ***, I just thought it was funny.

Simply put, your muscles use protein as medicine to heal themselves after a workout, so having abundant protein in your body will help you muscles heal faster and stronger (bigger) but it's no match for a harder workout routein.

any extra protein is turned into fat so watch how much you take in.
