Yes yes yes

I hate it more than anything and I wish I didn't have to celebrate it. If I don't my children will be sad because everyone keeps talking about santa and how he comes in and gives gifts to good kids.

Not especially. I celebrate Yule, the rest of my family celebrates Christmas. I have a good time celebrating with them on Christmas Eve, we have a good time together, then on Christmas day my brothers have their personal celebrations with their wives and children, and my husband and I spend the day relaxing, maybe taking in a movie, or something, and sometimes invite my parents out somewhere, or else just hang out by the fire. My family is aware that I'm Pagan, and they don't pressure me to attend Midnight Mass with them when we are done with the family party, or anything like that, they go their way, and I go on my way. On the night of the Winter Solstice (Dec. 22), I have my own personal celebration. To me the important thing is to spend some time to enjoy my family, as we often don't take the time to get together as much as we ought to, so a holiday is a good excuse to make the time. I don't feel pressured by them to celebrate the way they do, I simply join in, and enjoy with them, and then do my own thing when the time is right, as well. We just kind of worked it out that way over the years, Christmas Eve became our get together night, as it's my brother's birthday also. If you celebrate a holiday at this time of the year, or if you choose not to celebrate any holiday at all, I hope you enjoy a peaceful season, and enjoy it in the way most appropriate for you :)

Yes, we are forced to observe the religious holidays of the Christians by taking off at work and we are forced to work or else use up vacation days on the most holy days of the year, both solstices and equinoxes.

If you mean pressured to set aside bickering, fault-finding, criticism, meanness, discourteousness, and to awaken joy, happiness, friendliness, helpfulness, a smile, and a lighter step... then yes, I feel pressured to "celebrate like others".

Peace
