First keep it clean. Nothing more un-sexy than a dirty room.
Keep dirty clothes put away and put half your "stuff" in storage or give it to charity. Dust and vacuum at least once a week. If the walls are dirty wash them or give a fresh coat of paint.
Second, Your bedding is important. Buy a nice comforter or duvet and buy or make 5-6 decorative pillows of complimentary colors/patterns.
Thirdly, Some candles here and there and if you like, a fake fur area rug.
A sexy room is an inviting room.
The colors, patterns and candles you select can be cool colors to give a feminine feel. Purples, blues, some pinks or peaches.

I would suggest using neutral tones with mostly solids. A few splashes of patterns are OK. I would use accent pillows or pictures to break up the solids. Candles are also very feminine. And, less is always more.

i think lighting is really important. you want natural light during the day and nothing too bright at night. instead of a big ceiling light, use lamps that compliment your style -- they're softer and more inviting than one big light. go with long, flowing fabrics for the curtains -- either light and airy or deep and full, depending on your personal taste.
