On the contrary..thats what we are called to do! Love God first, spouse second. God said no one before Him.
(and actually, the more we love God, the better spouse we are!)

No....your love for God is different to the love that you have for your spouse. The love between husband and wife is considered holy too. If you love your spouse that doesnt mean you love God less.

Maybe not cheating, but it's certainly not fair to the spouse. This is the kind of thing most atheists dislike about religion. It makes it easy to ignore something real in your life for the sake of something that doesn't even exist.

Well it is peculiar that they suggest god is their husband as their bridegroom, so if you marry your god and devote your intimate thoughts toward him, I do question what sort of religion this is as it sounds more like mail order brides.
