good luck trying to get any ammo for a low price. i suggest using sabboted slugs for your 12 ga. they offer better accuracy, flatter tradjectory, and more kenetic energy than foster style or rifled slugs. i shoot a remington 11-87 slug gun and it shoots remington corelok ultra sabboted slugs very well, but this run about $14 dollars for a box of 5. ive also heard good things about remingtons coppersolid slugs. The largest deer killed on the eastcoast was killed last year in maryland w/ a winchester brand of sabboted slug from 100yds away. if u prob shouldent worry so much about price and try to figure our which slug shoots best in your gun. it dosent matter how cheap the slug u bye are, if u cant hit anything w/ them then they are a waste of money.

Sabots utilize the rifling the best. The cheap Remington sluggers will go through but will line your barrel including the rifling. There are slugs that work or are designed for both and that is the Brenneke Slugs. Your rifling won't be ruined with slugs if you clean it proper. Takes some work but that lead won't stay in there for long with a brass brush and some stiff solvent.

The best thing you can do is try every 12 ga. slug load you can get your hands on and see which one is most accurate in your gun. The cost of ammunition is one of the smallest parts of the cost of a hunt, and if you miss your deer because your cheap ammunition wasn't accurate enough, you will have wasted all the money you spent.

I personally use Remington Premier Core Lok Ultras. Yes they are a little pricy, but when a 12 gauge can shoot 150 yrd with no drop its worth it in my book.

I have a mossburg 500 with the rifled barrel and i use the remington Coppersolid sabots. they are very accurate. read your instruction manual it will say "NOT TO USE REGULAR SLUGS IN A RIFLED BARREL" a slug will defect the rifled grooves in the barrel and sooner or later you will need to replace you barrel.
Fully rifled barrels deliver best accuracy with sabot style slugs. “Rifled” slugs and shotshells are not recommended for use in rifled barrels.
