If u look at history or even current news ,u always find that the most courageous and daring acts (not from positive or negative point of view) like blowing self up ,or facing the foreign armies..etc

Religion with deal critical questions like "Who am I, why am I here, what is the meaning of life, who is God". The answers to any of those questions is can have great influence on how a person lives their lives and what they value. It can be a driving force to both great courage and virtue, and great cruelty and vice.

Note that it is a strong force within every person. Even small children are already seeking answers to those question, often before they can read, write, etc.

I think you're generalizing. How can you say facing a foreign army is motivated by religion? I'm sure that's somtimes the case, but I would think patriotism and loyalty to fellow soldiers is more often the immediate motivation for bravery on the battlefield.

Talking about drives in general, I know personally the drive to survive is way stronger than my drive for religion. It was I was told "convert or die," it would be an easy decision. (My gods know what I believe. They'll forgive me taking up the trappings of another religion in public to save myself.)

facing the foreign armies need not be religious.

Anyway think of all the revolutions in the past century. The bolshevik revolution. drive wasnt religious. It was hunger. economic. The velvet and bloody revolutions of eastern europe. drive wasnt religious. once again its hunger and poverty.

The economic drive is far more powerful in the long run for everybody in shaping society.

I think you're being biased towards Islamic Fascists. I don't usually hear of a person of christian demonination blowing themselves up.

As a "drive", it falls far short of being the strongest. "Self Preservation" is number one and will always be. Sex is next.

I actually think that self-love and greed is what fuels most harmful actions. People kill "in the name of their god" because obviously their god supports their wishes.

Or is it sexual drive? They blow themselves along with the "enemy" up because there are 80 (or something like that) virgins waiting for them (supposedly).
