Try the cowboy church. Don't know about tatts, but you can wear jeans and boots, they don't take a formal offering, and if you have to skip church because you work, nobody nags you about it. (I wish there were one near me.)

I haven't heard of that, but our church does have a tattoo artist that attends. What is a hip church anyway? Meaning they don't have to live by some backward, culture-shunning set of rules to be followers of Christ?

Well I don't know where 95% of those rules came from anyway and even the Bible says we should have freedom in Christ. It's funny, because what Jesus did tell us we need to do (act with love towards others), most of those rules don't help to put in action. But I'm not putting down "non-hip" churches, God uses the whole body of Christ to accomplish his will and if they lead people to Jesus then we should bless what they do. And the old-school churches should bless the tattoed churches for the same reason.

Are you a follower of Christ? The rest is just details.

I actually know of a church that had a guy getting a tattoo during the service while the preacher used it as an object lesson.

No, but you can get the words "I was saved by Jesus at the Church of the Only Son on the corner of 5th and Main" branded onto your chest with a hot iron.

I don't suggest it, though.
