I think it would be hard to do that through 1 inch plywood, plus she was on her back. She didn't have the ground and her legs to really use...but I may be wrong.

But I do think you could use that in a confrontation. Just think, all you have to do is get your hand close to the attacker and you knock them on their butt. You could do it from the clinch or near clinch. No big arching punches needed.

--plywood is made of multiple sheets of wood in which the grains are run perpendicular to each other, to increase strength. Plus the sheets are heated and compressed, that makes is very strong. not saying you couldn't break a piece of plywood with your fist, but from your back seems pretty unlikely, your fist and arm are the only muscles you are using. you could use your whole body if you were standing on the ground but she wasn't.---

No. Not like in the movie. Bruce Lee developed the 3 inch and 1 inch punch. It isn't something you would use in a street fight.

because wood is essentially compressed fibre running in a single direction across the grain unless the stunt was staged (a hole cut and then sealed for example) the wood would split along the grain.

....No, because the blood would take a lot of the impact, plus, bones are very very strong, and muscle is flexible so it can take blows... not even the best iron palm master can do it, and no one can accumulate that much fist velocity to even come close. Plus, the body is too thick to able to effectively do it, have you ever punched through a square foot of jello with long, thin bricks in it? No, obviously not because that's insane.

Provided the piece of wood is somewhat hollow, yes.

The human body can do amazing things, but remember that "Kill Bill" is a movie.

Everything is possible, but your mind plays 90% in it. Some people may do it, some people may train their life to do it and wont do it, it all comes down to your understanding of what you want to do, rather then knowing its a possibility.

Yes, but you have to develop your short-power generation and your penetration power to extreme levels.
