Amen grandma..........
They always look at us with a magnifying glass for some reason as if we're perfect.
Romans 3:23 & 6:23 pretty much explains it all......and those verses go for EVERYBODY in the world.

I hope my blunt answer does not offend.
This is for those who really want to know why!
"…If the salt have lost his flavour…
…It is henceforth good for nothing…
Ye are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hid."
-Matthew 5:13 & 14
Jesus said it, in his great wisdom knowing fully well what the world is like. Mind you, your question pertains to a 2000-year-old issue for Christians and is not as modern as we think it is!
Also, an intelligent person should know that other religions (except for the preachy, extremist you-know-which types) don't expect foreigners to read their own holy book - much less adhere to its precepts! Unfortunately, too many Christians don't realize this! You can claim that a certain Apostle wrote to the Gentile Christians - but I'm sure that Apostle was writing to his fellow Christians of Gentile origin! Why would that Apostle expect a Pagan Roman to read - and adhere to his Christian writings?
When 'non-Christians' talk about hypocrisy - some of them are just mean. But many non-Christians are right about this…
There is a huge difference between...
...A normal, imperfect Christian human who sins by mistake - and a 'liberal-lifestyle' Christian who perpetually enjoys the sinful lifestyle but uses Bible verses (thou shalt not judge) to cover up their deliberate cycle of sin!
I hope I helped answer you, even though it might hurt to read this! Let us look at Jesus and not let others influence our interpretation of the truth.

I never rejoice over any suffering. I keep an eye out for those who proclaim to be holier than though and make sure everyone else knows the definition of sin. Those are the ones most likely to fall (I think they call those people hypocrites). There is just something that makes me nervous about people who have sin on their mind all the time. It does have a ring of justice to it when a hypocrite has to fall on his or her sword. I once knew a preacher who would make the teens in his church write sentences for holding hands. Second warning was to be sent home. Third warning was removal from church. He was caught in a two year relationship with a 16 year old boy at his church. They had sex in the church, at his house, at his mother inlaws house. He plead guilty to stat rape and went to jail.

I know numerous religious people that live how they preach. The big thing is these people that claim to be holier than God himself and decry everything as horrible and a sin then get caught doing what they are screaming against. Human ..yes...but preaching and screaming that homosexuals will be given an express ticket to hell but then get caught doing what they are preaching against is hilarious and makes you ALL look bad because you are following these people.

Christians should be held to a higher standard....And, you know the saying...people who throw stones should not live in glass houses....
Many fundamentalists try to legislate their morality based on their opinion of interpretation of scripture...and give no credence to any other person's beliefs. Many fundamentalists feel that if you do not believe as them, that you are wrong. However, know there are many people that are just as strong in their faith as they are...but, have different opinions of interpretation of their scriptures.
Anyway, when fundamentalists are so vocal...and try to legislate their ideas of what morality should be etc....their hypocrisy shines through when they stumble....see we are all human, just trying to get along, do the best we can, make the world a better place, and cohabitate....but, when the fundies try to force their ideas on anyone else, it upsets the balance...and people who are perfectly happy in their lives, feel condemned, by someone, who is....well, who is human.
Romans 3:23, Matthew 7:1 along with many others tell us not to judge others....however, Christians spend their lives pointing fingers of judgement at others.

I assume that everybody makes mistakes and nobody is perfect. That is just human nature.
What I resent are people who get up infront of crowds of people and preach hatred and intolerance for certain other groups (homosexuals, for example) and then we find out that they are, themselves, homosexual. Same thing with infidelity and greed.
If a person is a public figure who is telling everybody else what to do then they MUST be held to a higher standard.
(btw - I have nothing against homosexuals - I was just using that as an example)

Sounds very strange... i might attempt to get city corridor in contact, at that ingredient. If this bus is on inner maximum materials, or interfering with inner maximum materials, your important different's mom might have the capacity to get the towing business corporation to take the bus away. And as long as she does not park on the minister's facet, he can not do an identical to her. It variety of relies upon on community rules, however. She might placed cameras up exterior, staring on the section the place the vehicles are parked. it would a million) capture each physique vandalizing, and a pair of) locate out what time of day this minister parks his bus. in case you're able to try this, then she may be allowed to place some thing interior the situation- cones, different obstructions- to maintain the bus out, and get rid of while she comes domicile. That pronounced, I do have faith that she will somewhat get his butt towed or maybe sued if he blocks her IN.

Of course I see Christians who try very hard to live what they preach, and I am glad for them. That doesn't make the religion any more appealing to me though.

I don't look for Christians to fall, except the ones railing against everyone else's bad behavior.

yes, i do see good christians, and they are closer to atheists than what i consider christians. They arent pushy, they have their beliefs, and they are their own, they help people, they are good people.
The key is they are good PEOPLE, they dont classify themselves as christians, they are people, who happen to believe in the christian god. People who live to be christians tend to be bad people, people who live to be good people and are christian, tend to be good people.
its the same with any group. People who get wrapped up in an ideal of what they SHOULD be tend to be worse than those who are people first, and second.
