Whats better for my 2 year old?

As a mom-neither:-) They both seem to yell all the time. My son doesn't like either (thankfully) but since so many kids at day care are into them he does recognize the characters. I would say at the age of two-you are better off with more of a song themed show. Think Wiggles, Backyardagains, or even the Wonder Pets who also talk about being good helpers. And there are the Higgly Town Heros who help children learn what jobs people do to help others.
At two, a child does not need (nor are they developmentally ready) to get into major lessons like they sometimes push on Dora and Diego. At 2 it is better to start giving concepts-things like being nice to others and being a helper rather than counting to 10 in Spanish. You need to work on building vocabulary so toddlers can better express their thoughts and feelings. And all of that is better done by a live person rather than a tv show. Watch a little tv here and there, but don't let it be the teacher or sitter.

My 2 year old loves Diego because he is an animal rescuer but to be honest so does Dora. I let her watch both and really don't think one is really better than the other. Its all just a matter of preference.

2 year olds seem to LOVE Dora!
I think Diego is geared for children a little older.

My daughter is 2 1/2 and loves Diego. She likes the animals.

Whichever he or she prefers.
My son loves both but would choose Diego over Dora.

Both are really good shows. Diego is more animal based, that is why my son loves it. But he also loves Dora. I would say whichever he/she is more interested in. Both are fine

My little brother loves both of them but he prefers Dora but since he is a boy, I would prefer Diego for him.

only because diego is more educational. diego talks about rescues, spanish, and animals. dora only talks about spanish and "adventure." well just put it this way, diego knows what dora knows, except more! :] so there you go :]

they are pretty much the same but ask your child wether he/she likes dora or diego better
Dora is more of an adventurus type show
Diego is more of a heroic and adventurus show
most of the time Dora is liked my mostly girls and Diego is mostly liked by boys

Which ever one your child prefers. Diego, does offer more education wise.
