There could be a number of things going on -- sinus infection, onset of a cold/flu, stress....

Here's something that sometimes works, and doesn't require any medication.

Pinch the webbed portion of your hand between the thumb and index finger... try it on the hand on the side where the worst part of the headache is. Don't pinch hard enough to injure the tissues, but just enough to affect the nerve inside there.

I have found that in over fifty percent of the times I've done this for a headache, it reduces or eliminates the pain.

Another natural painkiller "drug" is caffeine. Try a cup of brewed coffee. If you take acetaminophen (Tylenol) there have been studies that seem to indicate that caffeine will help the medicine activate faster. That's why sometimes you can find acetaminophen with caffeine on the market.

However, if the pain doesn't go away in a reasonable time, or you get other symptoms like a severe fever or vomiting, seek a doctor's opinion.

Because of your age, taking any meds your parent doesn't give you is not a good idea. So, try massaging under your eye gently out towards your ear and your eyebrow out towards your ear. Try breathing over a pot of hot water (that is not on the stove) covering your head and the pot (making a tent). Drink lots of room temperature water. Also try massaging the web between your thumb and index finger. Feel around on both hands until you find the pain spot, then gently massage adding a bit of pressure until the pain is gone. Most likely this is a sinus headache. Talk with parent about taking meds for shedding water not one to dry out the sinus and a also a tylenol. Also, spraying the sinus with Ocean Salt Water will open the sinuses. Watch the weather, you may be sensitive to barometric pressure with causes sinus headaches.

Sounds like a new pillow is order, as well as, deeper sleep cycles so that you can get fully rested. The muscles in your neck and shoulders get tired and start to tense sending tension up and over your head, causing the headache. I would suggest taking Valerian root, it will help you sleep deeper and also relax those muscles. The deal is, you are overtired and your muscles are screaming "let me get some damn rest!" Try putting a heating pad at your upper back/neck area............feels wonderful. Also, there is a spot on the back of your head, right where your neck and head connect. There's kind of a dip there(on me anyway),press in a circular motion, rubbing for a few minutes. You will actually feel the sinus cavity draining when you have hit the right spot. Good luck.

Sounds like a migraine. I used to get them all the time. I take Tylenol and antihistimine (claritin) for mine. Ginger ale works really well, especially if you are nauseous.
You say you ate cow meat? Was it seasoned??? MSG can cause a fierce headache. One reason I became a vegetarian was because of all the additives in meat (hormones, antibiotics, steroids) and I haven't had but one migraine since. It's been two years now.
Also, if your used to drinking coffee first thing in the morning, going without can cause caffeine withdrawal.
Hope you feel better soon.

Pl try acupressure given below.

Alternate systems of medicine can only help you.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES,
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

I would look into sleep apnea, because people with sleep apnea wake up with whopping headaches.

Ibuprofen: take 2 if you weigh 100 lbs., 3 if you weigh 150 lbs. up to 4 every six hours.

You may be coming down with a virus.

Eat something, or have some tea with honey.

I would definately take some medicine, Iubuprophen usually works good. If it doesn't go away after a few doses of that, then maybe you should call your doctor or go to the er, I have terrible headaches and sometimes I have to go get a pain shot , they usually give me demerol and phenergan, it works really good.
