We ( parents ) have seen each other a couple of times and had tea in the house. What to buy for the father, the mother and the son? or is it not necessary?

Not unless you're are very close friends. If your daughter would like to present them with a small gift that would be fine, provided the son and your daughter have a special relationship. If they have only been going out for a few weeks, then no. Again, nothing really expensive, just a small token of recognition maybe a bottle of wine or a poinsettia or if she could bake some cookies with a nice card. Just something small and personal that appears she thought of them and doesn't expect anything in return. If they like flavored coffee, then that with a couple of Christmas mugs or cookies with hot cocoa mix and mugs. A nice basket with pop corn, and candies and a gift certificate to rent a movie.

How old are the kids and how serious is the relationship?

Teenagers in puppy-love I would say no. If the two are in their twenties or older and may get married some day, it would be nice to give a simple gift that is not too personal.

Once everyone starts to feel like family, it becomes appropriate but not necessary.

For the parents nothing. For the son only if you think there is a good chance he is the one. I would give a gift like a camera or picture album - with the suggestion that he start making/keeping memories with it.

Um first of all, you have in basic terms been courting seven weeks. My brother and his spouse have been married for seven years and neither of my mothers and dads anticipate presents from her whether they love her dearly. Your mothers and dads in all risk should not be getting him a recent and you SHOULDN"T be getting his mothers and dads presents. I advise somewhat in case you have met them better than a handful of cases i may be suprised. Christmas isn't approximately presents besides. Does this guy practice you admire alongside with your mothers and dads? IF confident permit all fo this different crap that isn't important circulate...and your mothers and dads in all risk do no longer anticipate presents from him exceptionally in case you adult adult males are youthful as in under 30.

I wouldn't expect to give a gift to his parents. They are only dating not married. Unless they are holding a holiday party where a hostess gift would be appropriate, I would not.

A nice bottle of wine or a chocolate gift basket would be nice, but I'm sure they wouldn't expect it.
