Because in the quran it states that Islam is a religion of peace. Not everyone follows that. There are fundamentalists in every religion. When you live in a country where there is no education, where bombs are dropped every day, you dont care to live or die. It has nothing to do with the religion being corrupted, the people are corrupted and if you listen to the media and are not educated about the religion you too will believe that the religion is like that, but it's not. This happens in many religions. What about the europeans that took a bunch of Africans and forced Christianity on them, or what about the native americans that they changed their culture and religion? It's not just Muslims who are fanatics...

Why do Christians, Hindus people with other religous beliefs enter countries that are not of their religion? Same reason. What a stupid question. The Islam religion does lead to peace and properous soceities but that doesn't mean they can't go into western countries and achieve this. And to be honest, there are a large number of muslim people that have authority and responsibilities in these western countries which helps with improving it too e.g. Doctors, Surgeons, teachers etc.

hi julia ,,, just wanted to say ... that now that I am older I keep an open mind on things and people.... I know that this is the land of the free and the land of milk and honey... of course almost everyone wants to be an American or come here just because ... listen some people here are very poor also and its hard to get a job for some ,, some are homeless and all the above... the difference is that freedom ,,, is one of the greatest thing to have thu it has a prize for some.... who have lost there lifes.... still we have it... and one way or the othere once someone makes it here maybe they will hit big and maybe not still freedom we have... of course like all things we have to respect and follow rules .... or it will be taken away ...listen even before 9-11... there have always been fights at school and almost anywhere here in the states its scary at times just to go to the stores shopping... and that my friend its all over the world ... satan just does not sleep he wants all the souls or as much as he can so people all over will just be bad .. so all I can say and do is pray for all so that GOD ALMIGHTY can give us all peace... take care and GOD BLESS YOU .. yoli

The same reason why the Irish came here in the mid 1800's. The same reason that the latinos come here. The same reason and different reasons why a lot of Immigrants came to America. Everyone wants to start a new life. The quality of life is better in the Western Society. Sure there are some notable exceptions like the UAE, Turkey, and other places. Another thing one has to take into consideration is the fact that the Muslims coming over here are very well educated. In fact every muslim I have met is either a Doctor, Engineer, or Law student.

All over the world, religion is popular. This is because we don't really know what kind of a world we are living in. We don't know what will happen to us in the next world. This makes us feel insecure. We are all in the same boat. Some of us like to believe that we are in bigger, better, more buoyant boats. Belief is a wonderful thing as long as it does not encourage ire towards those whose beliefs are different.

it's cause when the average family in muslims countries has 5 or 6 kids to spread islam, they can't all get jobs obviously.
Westerner have on average 1.2 children, hence they come to western countries to work and start familys. Western goverments try to aid couples having families which is not offered in muslim countries as they are all having children.
Here they can have as many children as like and be ensured that ALL will receive health, education and help to spread islam even further.

Traditionally muslims have been at the forefront and cornerstone of trade, commerce....business and there is nothing in the religion that forbids travel, migration or seeking a better life, or different life elsewhere. Muslims are not just in the west... Islam has literally touched every continent. You will find the Latin America a quite expansive group of muslims from all over living, working raising families.
Your question is directed at hte religion, and that is where you are making the mistake... I could say, if Christian women are so pure then why do so many American women have abortions..... but that is not necessarily the correct correlation to make.... maybe the issue is cultural, or regional specific and has nothing to do with Christianity
There are 1 billion muslims in the world... clearly not even half of them are trying to come here..... and of the muslims here on average they are higher educated and have a greater income than your average american.... but this work ethic, I'd argue they had before coming to the USA as an adult... perhaps instilled in their "muslim" country
This is exactly one of those assumptions that Republicans, Aryan nation-type hate groups and other use to excuse and fuel their hatred... yeah if it's so great over there why are you here?
It's not about the religion, or the practice of it... cultures, personalities, historical experiences, corruption in the government, enslavement, colonization adn continued pimping of nations by Europe and ugh, yeah, the USA..... these are higher contributors of the suffering economics of some nations and with or without their religious practice these other factors that are directly driven and influencing economy effect it greater.

Well, the countries with massive Muslim populations (think Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, Pakistan, etc) haven't the best quality of life. In the Western countries, the government takes care of you and they give out social support and also the jobs in the West pay better.
That is why and also, it seems that the Western governments will do everything to ensure the Muslim immigrants enjoy their rights, even if it stomps on our own rights and traditions.

Muslims also have dreams just like you do. In Muslim countries, people travel from village to city in search of better jobs. They also travel from cities to other countries for better jobs, study. I think all religions are peaceful and prosperous but individuals do seek to better themselves in any case. There is no limit to obtain knowlegde and the Koran states than one should seek knowledge even if it is in China. Meaning far away places. In order to be prosperous. we must observe others and take the good from others and apply in ourselves. The Koran also states that God has created peoples and tribes so that we can learn from and they from us.
