haha What if you crotch him with a baseball bat? Will they cut off my bat? lol Why does/did "god" hate women so much I always wonder. I think maybe the authors were closet gays. What else would cause such hate? Anyway, I use a bat and 3 Pits. So, I guess they would cut off my bat and my Pits. I can't believe I used to follow such crap.

I think God had a reason. I'm imagining my husband fighting another man and then I come along and grab the man's privates (from behind?, in between the two men?). Ok, the man's in pain but one hit from him and I'm down. My husband now turns his attention to me out of concern, which gets him killed and then me next. What good have I accomplished? Maybe this was God's way of saying you cannot physically handle this or grab a rock and hit the man on his head, but don't get in the middle.

My question is how in the world would a woman grabbing her husband's privates in the midst of a fight protect him without putting her in the middle of the fray? Sounds like a stupid way to protect your husband to me. Of course, if the "you" in the verse is the assailant, then this would be a great way to cause chaos and thus get away cleanly while the husband is staring down at his private parts which have a disembodied female hand attached to them...ok, thanks for the bizarre image!

Do they both stop fighting before they cut off her hand? Do they cut off her hand before she releases her grip? What if the guy has only one testicle? Do they then cut off half of her hand?

i guess.
if all of our punishments were so harsh some people would think twice before doing evil.
PEOPLE used to follow the old testament but when Jesus came and died for us, the old testament became obsolete and the new testament is what we follow. before u criticize the bible u should understand how it is put together.
