Dumbbells.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you will damage your back and spine!
Slowly move the upper part of your body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times.
Every week add to the number of repetitions.
You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.
For other body part exercising, google it. Dumbbells are cheap, does not take a lot of space, and you can do all the exercises at home, on a small space, maybe 2x2 metres.

Cardio running and swimming is the best IMO. 30 minutes to 1 hour every other or everyday if you would like. Some form of light lifting between cardio days to really help you tone up. A strict clean diet of high proteins with lean meats like fish and chicken, dark leafy veggies not root like veggies like potatoes filled with carbs. Low on the fruit even tho there filled with vitamins they have loads of sugar well most of them. No fat, sugar, salt, carbs, calories. This is the best and healthest ways. Running, swimming, hiking, biking, etc.

Do lots of reps in your exercises. Lift light weight but do lots of reps. Example: for tone arms curl 10 lbs or 5lbs (depending on strength) 30 times or max. Take a one minute break and do 2 more sets. Weight lifting will burn twice as many calories as cardio exercises. Use this method for all of your troubled areas which need improving. (Legs and Stomach just remember high reps) Lifting weights will also boost your metabolism and burn more calories. If you don't have weights or equipment no worries. Do push-ups for arms, sit-ups for mid section, and luges for legs. After 3 days a week for two weeks you will see improvements

toning is nothing more than reducing the current level of body fat and the diet is the biggest factor. exercise only expedites the fat loss process. the best training routine combined with a bad diet will result in minimal results at best.
if your diet isn't sufficient in calories or nutrients then fat loss will not occur or it will it minimal levels not enough to reduce the body fat noticeably.
