Dreaming of water could mean there is some desire in your life you feel you can't fulfill.
Oceans, lakes,rivers etc are the symbol of things you want to own or take charge of, but due to abilities, you can't, and subconsciously you projected them in dream to show you that you are feeling helpless in some aspects of life.

sometimes water can mean how you feel about love
so maybe the whole thing with tv could mean that you want love to be like it is on tv
