Alright, I will walk you through this step by step. Here it goes:
1.) Go out hard. Try and keep the same pace for both miles.
2.) Do NOT drink ANY water, in a 2 mile race, by the time the water gets in your system, the race will be over.
3.) Stay srong and don't let pain be a factor. Fight through the misery and remember it is only two miles.
4.) HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!

And Good Luck!! =]

2 miles is not that long. dont drink water during the run is just gonna make you feel sick, if the race is in the morning drink a lot of water the night before to make sure you are well hydrated. if you have to drink water before the race just sip water but noting over a glass. af far as the running goes try sprinting a mile a see where you stands and then decide how you want to do your race. i usually start somewhat fast for the first 1/4 mile then ease off and when u get to the last mile try to match you mile sprint time

I'm run a 2 mile in a 13:12 I'm 14 years old but i do know do not drink cold water while before or after running. savor your water but i would prefer you don't run with water. don't sprint at first but run hard keep a steady pace, and if its windy stay behind a person taller then you that is your pace to block your wind. at the last quarter mile sprint like Forrest Gump!

From your question, I can only assume that you don't run regularly. In which case I'd suggest you start running so you have some idea and some respect for how far 2 miles can be.
For experienced runners, it's not far, but for a non-runner, it's a lifetime.

If you were an experienced runner, I'd suggest you go out as fast as you can, then run with ever-increasing speed...

The quality of any answer to your question could only be evaluated after knowing your experience level and training, if any.
