Why can't I buy the Rock Band bundle for PS2?

I just heard that they will be selling only the game. So that means that I have to buy the PS3 bundle to get the controllers. Will the PS3 controllers work with the PS2 game?

I don't know where you heard that, but it's wrong. The Rock Band bundle, as well as the standalone game, will be available for the PS2 on December 18.
