God is just beyond their comprehension. They may have read the Bible, but I don't believe they understand what they read. Atheists claim to be smarter than Christians, but if they are so smart, then why can't they understand God? They are lost. Let's just pray for them.

I'm a non-believer, and I have read most of the Bible and found it all silly, hate-filled, and quite uncompelling as a motivator to seek a relationship with this God.
If Christianity and having a relationship with God have nothing to do with Christmas or Easter, then why the big fuss about it? Why demand that it be "Merry Christmas" and nothing else? And who are you to say that all denominations are wrong? Or are you one that thinks your denomination is the only right one and the only one going to Heaven?

You want me to read a book about an imaginary being, and live my life for that imaginary being?
Why would I do that? Makes no sense.
As a human, I'd rather live for myself and my fellow humans. Humans actually exist, the Sky Bully does not.

Because life has so much more meaning in helping other humans, than trying to convert them and force them into a nilhilistic relationship with something we dont know exists.

Many have read the Bible but do not understand. They have eyes to see but cannot see. They have ears to hear, but cannot hear. They are perishing and we can pray that God lets us plant something that will get them to call upon the Lord.

I understand what you're saying about the "details."
However, I *have* read the Bible, and I don't believe in god. So that is why I "won't just live (my) life for god."
Have a wonderful day. =)

I've read the bible, it's a rather dated literary work, and I live for myself, but I care about humans as a whole simply because the species is capable of so much accomplishment, but lets petty squabbles divide and stifle such accomplishment

Errr... there are a lot of atheists on this site who know the Bible better than a lot of Christians do.

Since god created everything, then why is it such a big deal that we do focus on man made things?

I can see, touch, sometimes hear, smell and taste manmade things, and I experience human nature every day. I can't do any of these things with an imaginary deity.
