Some do, yes. But the future they give could be one of any of your probable selves and thus it does not necessarily mean anything.

Yes and no. I do believe some people have heightened perception and intuition. Like the other girl said, I do not think we have learned everything that the human brain can do. There may be scientific explanations for so called 'psychic' behaviors that we have not yet discovered. However, I do not believe in stereotypical supernatural psychics and the type. Although, I will say that the British lady on Lifetime's "Life Among the Dead" is freaky. Who knows?

Hello Tatie
There is no psychic power - there is psychic ability.
It is an ability that we all own, stronger in some than others, & one which need dedication & development to make it substantial.
Psychic can look into the future, but also the present & the past.

I believe that some psychics have the power to tell the future. I met with a palm reader two years ago who looked at my palms for about three seconds and proceeded to tell me everything about myself that she really couldn't possibly have known unless she talked to someone about me before meeting me (including I have a wide circle of friends, and intensely loyal, am an incredibly creative person involved in more than one art form, and my ex was going to come back into my life within six months, which he did, but that it wasn't going to work out, which it didn't, thank Aprhodite). I am also a tarot card reader and usually scare people with my accuracy. I have people who have come to me years later and said, "Yeah, you remember when you told me my marriage was going to fall apart? Yeah, that happened about two months after that reading."
The thing is, psychics (or tarot readers) can't tell you anything if you're not going to give them permission to do so, which is why if you go to a tarot reader or a psychic with the attitude of "Okay, prove to me you can tell the future," they're not going to be able to because you're not giving them permission to do so. Also, the things they can tell you are often general energies that are coming into your life, and if you know something bad is coming you can take steps to avoid it, so it's not necessarily going to come true. And of course there are a lot of people out there who are just quacks preying on the gullible.
Psychics, from the few I've met (that I believe are legitimate) won't tell their own future, like what the winning lottery numbers are, because 1) that's incredibly specific and it's not a pinpoint accuracy thing and 2) it's highly unethical.
Blessed Yule.

Yes. If you ever pay attention some times they do get things right and yes sometimes they don't. Its just a fact of life. I also believe that humans have the potential to become psychic!

I have personally met several psychics and they are all doing nothing more than cold or warm readings. They are cute parlor tricks but nothing more.
I also notice that of all the psychics in the world not one of them was able to predict:
- Space Shuttle Explosions.
- Indian Ocean Tsunami
- Any Earthquakes
- 9/11
- Stock market ups and downs.
- And lots more.
Finally, I notice that I have never, ever met a rich and successful psychic. You'd think they would have the inside track on success and wealth, won't you ?

Anyone who wants to learn the tricks professional psychics use can become one. It takes no special abilities, as humans don't have the capacity for such abilities. To the answerer who said we only use a small portion of our brains, that is a claim based on a misunderstanding. Science never said that, and few people today still cling to it.

I believe everyone has psychic powers. Mothers especially. Any mother will probably agree that they can feel when something is wrong or about to go wrong even when the child is not in sight.

I believe all humans have the potential to learn psychic 'powers'. We only use a very small portion of our brain. Can you imagine what we could do, if we learned to use the whole damn thing!?

I think that 99% of people who pretend to be psychics are ineffective.
There is 1% that I may believe they are efficient, but well...
You know, there is a foundation created in 1996 in the USA that offers of $1,000,000 to anyone that can demonstrate paranormal abilities under laboratory conditions:

11 years after, there is still noone who has won that mountain of money.
