Don't you people know how insulting that is to grumps like me who love to be insulted by every positive and caring thing that comes out of people's mouths?
What are you, a bunch of anti-grump bigots? We don't wanna hear it, see it, or even know that it exists. We won't be happy until everybody is walking around grumbling curse words at everybody else and hope they all get strangled on their "Christmas" sugar cookies and poisoned by their mistletoe.

Your only answer is to hibernate from Thanksgiving to New Year, I fear. Poppycock!
I work hard myself at eschewing anywhere that's playing seasonal muzak, and quit listening to one of my two oldies radio stations because it goes all-holiday music from Thanksgiving week through New Year's Day. Blast them!
Of course, you could use the seasonal reply for such greetings or farewells: "Bah. Humbug!"
