I don't fear dying, just the method of death. I just don't want it to be painful. Even if I am wrong, and there is no God, it doesn't change my position.

Please state if you believe in God or not. I think those that believe in God would have less to fear but I may be wrong.

I believe in God.

I admit, this is a question that has been on my mind a lot lately. I really don't care what form death takes, as long as I am not alone. I would hate to die alone.

I equate the idea of dying with going up a very high, very steep first hill of a roller coaster. It scares the living crap out of you because you can't see what's on the other side of the hill, but you suspect that it's gonna be one hell of a ride!

I fear how it feels to die. There are a million ways to die (gunshots, heart attack, stroke, cancer, car accident etc.) and none of them sound pleasant at all. But I am not afraid of the transition or the consequences of death. The ending of life is a necessary and natural part of it. I fully accept death as the final end of me, and if I'm wrong and there is an afterlife, then I'll cross that bridge when I get there. But I've got enough things to worry about in this life.

I don't believe in God. But if it turns out I'm wrong and I do meet my maker, so be it. I would be very critical of his attitude and methods, and I'd be happy to have a frank conversation with him face to face, if he's got one.

I don't fear either anymore. The only thing I fear is that I won't be able to experience all that I want to before I die. When I was a christian I feared death. I feared the possibility that I wasn't good enough for heaven. Now that I have realized that christianity is no more true than the story of santa, I hardly have any fear.

I'm not afraid of death. It's a natural part of the life cycle. I kinda get a bit gitty about it...I know..stupid and sad...verging on insaine...whatever....

I look forward to knowing what is out there. Since religion nor science can tells us what REALLY is out there, I would feel a bit like a pioneer or an explorer of sorts.....But, come what may, it will be exciting, none the less.

I believe in God.

I agree with you that people who believe in god are less scared and are more peaceful about death in general. Im not sure that I believe. Its odd. I am also afraid of the method of death. My noni(grandmother)died with Alzheimer's disease. Which effects your memory. She layed in her bed the last moments of her life-with all 7 of her children by her side and Im not sure she knew who they were. That scares me. I hope I pass away in my sleep. I am a bit intimidated by death and not knowing where it will bring me..I cant imagine not seeing my son again. But what if its like sleeping and you just are shut off? Its just soo deep to think about.

I believe in the Goddess and the God.

I don't fear death or the transition, but I'm not eager for my life to end. I'm having a great time in this incarnation!

I'm atheist. I do not fear death. I wouldn't want to go out in excruciating pain or anything like that but we don't really get a choice I suppose.

I believe in God with all my heart. God is the only one that knows if I am going to "suffer" during my transport. If I am, I want to give him all the glory and keep focused on his path. I am not afraid to die. With God holding me, I will not be scared of the transport.
