Sexual intercourse is a basic, human function. You don't need a religious perspective to understand it. If you don't know what constitutes sexual intercouse by now, you've got a lot more learning to do. Start with the basics and you should be okay.

if you are not married anything dealing with sexual organs in either a natural or perverted way with lewd intent would be considered fornication which would be included as sexual contact. So wether actual sexual INTERCOURSE it's still fornication which is a sin against God.True Christains hold to a higher standard of the Holy Scripture rather than try to make excuses for oral sex, they understand that Sripturally it is fornication, and they train their conscience accordingly. Religions all seem to have a different view on this. I guess it depends on how horny their leader was. Some say thinking about having sex with another is a sin, others say any touching of your own or another's sexual organs is a sin, others say you can touch if you are married without sinning, and others say you can only have sexual relations with the intention to have a child. So you can take your pick find a religion that fits your thinking, or save yourself time and forget about the religion.

Ones own opinion.
Religion wise: Depends on what religion.
Some religions think it is completely wrong. But that is stupid because IF everyone did follow that, then bye bye population.
Some religions think sexual intercourse is something that should not happen until after marriage, and completely happy, and have let god in your heart first. ALthough that is stupid also, because what if someone is forced to marry? They can't be completely happy. Im just rambling.

No one has the right to tell a person what to do, or what not to do with their OWN body.

I've only ever considered it from a biological perspective and I'm quite clear on what it's all about! Considering it from a religious perspective renders one open to all sorts of perverted fantasies!

From the Bible's view point, it is doing the act which may get a woman pregnant. There are other aspects to sex though. Fornication with any body parts as to arouse a sexual interest is also against God. So, even kissing would be considered fornication.

in my opinion it's a devotion to one another
i personally, believe that it is ok so long as it is sincere and the people are truely in love -- but that is for me, personally.

I do not see any problem with it so long as there is devotion and understanding -- not neccessarily on long term basis either, or specifically with intention to be married, but in other instances too. I dont see anything wrong with people just hooking up and having sex -- so long as both those two people understand that that is what it is, and are comfortable and accepting of such arrangement. After all, it is human nature to want such desires and to endulge in them, so I see nothing wrong with it so long as it's not done in a deceptive manner -- IE a guy or girl sleeps with someone leading them on to believe that it will grow to something more, and then just takes off and leaves them high and dry.
That i think is wrong -- but if both parties understand the situation and are comfortable with it, and it doesnt envolve cheating, then so be it, i dont see anything wrong with it.

but that is just my personal beliefs, i know that is not the general feeling of most main-stream religions.
