Armageddon is a place, not a battle. How then, shall we encourage a place?

The biblical armageddon says that more then 1/3 of the world will be killed in the first few years. Thats 2 billion people. Who wants that? If Bush and Cheney dont blow up the nuclear sites, Iran will get a nuclear weapon and will not hesitate to send a sucide bomber and blow up a city. And if that city is in the middle east, gas prices will sky rocket. Its actually a very difficult situation. The best policy is to first force the carmakers to build nothing but 50mpg or better cars. Reguardless of what the American public says. If they want to pull a boat or a bigger truck let them pay a $10,000 tax. When we stop the need to import oil, then we can act with more force when those idiots start blowing things up over there or here.

ARMAGEDDON
A Catastrophic End?

ARMAGEDDON! Does this word conjure up images of mass destruction or a cosmic conflagration? Few Bible expressions have become as much a part of everyday speech as “Armageddon” has. The term has been widely used to describe the gloomy prospects facing humans. The entertainment industry has fed people’s imagination with horrific scenes of a coming “Armageddon.” The word is shrouded in mystery and misconceptions. While ideas as to its meaning abound, most of them are not in line with what the Bible—the source of the expression—teaches about Armageddon.

The president of Iran wants to 'wipe Israel off the map'...which is a key component of the muslim belief that doing such will spark the return of their imam.....

if Bush wants to invage Iran..that sounds like he's trying to STOP the destruction of Israel...not start it.

Nothing is going to happen one minute sooner than in Gods approved plan. We arent IN the prophetic program today..are you aware of that?

The prophetic program STOPPED two thousand years ago when God "SET ASIDE Israel" who is the prophetic NATION.

Today, we are in the dispensation of the GRACE of God, called the MYSTERY (which has been revealed). The prophetic clock will resume once WE, who are the church which is His body, are taken UP to be with our Lord in the air, Ie: the rapture. Then God will complete the seven yrs remaining on Israels timetable.

This is all found in a study of Gods Word , rightly divided.

This name is directly associated with “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” The term applies specifically to the condition, or situation, to which “the kings of the entire inhabited earth” are gathered in opposition to Jehovah and his Kingdom by Jesus Christ. In a number of versions it is rendered “Armageddon.” (Re 16:14, 16, AT; KJ; JB; RS; TEV) The name Har–Magedon, taken from Hebrew,“The war of the great day of God the Almighty” at Har–Magedon was not some past event but is depicted in Revelation as future from the time of John’s vision. The gathering of the kings to Har–Magedon is described as being a result of the pouring out of the sixth of the seven bowls containing the “last” plagues that will bring to a finish the anger of God. (Re 15:1; 16:1, 12) Also, indicating that the war at Har–Magedon is closely associated with Christ’s presence is the warning of his coming as a thief, which is placed between verses 14 and 16 of Revelation chapter 16.The global aspect of the war is emphasized in the context. There the opponents of Jehovah are identified as “the kings of the entire inhabited earth,” who are mobilized by “expressions inspired by demons.”—Re 16:14.Har–Magedon is thus seen to be a fight, not merely among men, but one in which God’s invisible armies take part. Its coming is certain and it will take place at the time set by Jehovah God, who “is doing according to his own will among the army of the heavens and the inhabitants of the earth.”—Da 4:35; see also Mt 24:36. Whose influence is pushing the nations to the world situation that will result in war against God?

Rev. 16:13, 14: “I saw three unclean inspired expressions that looked like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon [Satan the Devil; Rev. 12:9] and out of the mouth of the wild beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are, in fact, expressions inspired by demons and perform signs, and they go forth to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together to the war of the great day of God the Almighty.”

Compare Luke 4:5, 6; 1 John 5:19; also Acts 5:38, 39; 2 Chronicles 32:1, 16, 17.
God doesn't need us to carry out his war, it's not by man's power but by his.

I think you're wrong. That is definitely NOT why they want to invade Iran. You should think on this some more.

Thank you for the perfect example of antrhropomorphism by human beings regarding the Reality of Creation.

Only someone truly captured by his/her Left-Hemisphere... as his/her MIND prevents him/her from accessing the Spirituality hidden within him/herself could project his/her fear in such a post.

Hate has the capacity to delude ones reasoning and to project ones fear in what one intellectually imagines is humor... but this deluded humor is, in actuality, clear evidence of ones repressed fear of Spirituality masking as projected hatred disguised as delusional humor. Clearly painting one as someone suffering from the neurosis called: "Liberal-Type Personality Syndrome".

Peace

That would be a shame, because this second coming of Christ thing doesn't work that way. You can't MAKE it happen.

No matter how psycho you are.
