I shoot an Oneida Strike Eagle. It is smooth, accurate, and easy to shoot. I really like bow hunting. It requires a lot of focus, patience, and silence.

i shoot a diamond triumph. it's draw weight is set at 70 lbs and the draw lenghth is 28" w/ 80% let off. it has a ripcord fall away rest and a trophy ridge 5 pin sight. the whole set up was about $900-1000. i get complete pass through shots on deer at 25 yards w/ it. it is tack driving accurate. i bought this bow because i had a browning rage compound bow and i had to replace the strings on it every 2 months or less so i decided to get a quality bow. the only problem w. my diamond is its a little loud even w/ limsavers, stabalizer and string siliencers, but its at an accptable level for a 70lb bow. if u r considering buying a bow DONT GO CHEAP. u get what u pay for. the more money u spend then the happier youll be w. the product.

Hoyt Cybertec
Hoyt Smoke Carbonite
My favorite is the Cybertec. I have owned nearly all the Mathews line, Hoyt line and Bowtech, I still have not found a better bow than the Cybertec from Hoyt. I dont like Bowtec at all, Mathews is over rated and I dearly love Hoyt. Bear makes good slingers, however, I would suggest buying a used Hoyt or Mathews instead, in a year or two if you get into the bow hunting your going to end up with one anyway.
Good Luck & Happy Shooting !~

I have a 65# Damon Howat Hunter. I've had it for almost 20yrs and it still shoots great. I like it because it's very light comparded to the compond bows and is much quicker handling for me when I'm small game hunting. I shoot insinctive and feel more in touch with the anceint archers with the recurve. Then, I also like to shoot black powder firearms.

Martin Cougar 40 lb draw used only for target this year I had surgery on my shoulder and still getting back to my usual draw of 45 lbs (almost there)
Hubby shoots a Martin Saber 50 lb draw only target this season he wouldn't go out hunting with out me (sweet man)
Son shoots Browning Micro Midas maxed at 35 lbs maxed draw length but won't give it up (getting a new bow from Santa thinking about a cougar for him too) just shoots target and 3d targets has yet to go out hunting not patient enough yet.
Daughter shoots a Hoyt Reintech 30 lb has several medals for target archery and went out this year but didn't see a deer at all (I think she slept in the blind LOL).
Yes a whole family of archers Hubby and I teach 4 different groups of kids archery (3 on Saturday and one on Wednesday night) each group is about 60 kids. Keeps us busy between that and our archery league on Tuesday night.
