I saw this cold sore thing on this girls lip while on the Metro this morning and now I think I am getting a zit or something on my upper lip. Do you think by looking at someone else and saying "Oh gosh!, I dont want to get that." actually can trigger something in the mind chemically so you now could get one of those things?

highly unlikely, it is more likely that you were already developing a sore, and subconsciously you knew it...so you noticed the girl when otherwise you might not have.

See conversion disorder- its wacky but if you believe bad enough that something is contagious and that you have it- your mind can induce those symptoms on your body. See hypochondria.
