Well aren't you nice! What a caring person you must be.
For your own sake, before giving all of your money away, please make sure to provide for your own family first. You can't know what the future holds. Trust me on this one, I've been there, done that. I still haven't recovered my losses, and my own family is living in poverty because of my lack of planning skills. Just a heads up.
As to what to do with the money after your needs are met, that's really your choice. Ask yourself what social issues are nearest and dearest to your heart, then put it where it will do the most good.
This means different things to everyone. You may want to help the homeless through Habitat for Humanity, or provide an educational opportunity through yearly scholarships.
There are various organizations to help single mothers learn a skill to see them into the workforce so that they can provide for their own families.
You might want to start your own business, in order to provide employment for others, and to keep giving with the profits you make.
There are plenty of unwanted animals who need a helping hand. Maybe a no-kill shelter is in your future. The possibilities are endless.
No matter what you decide, be content in the knowledge that you have done a wonderful thing for mankind.

Absolutely not. There are a hundred other matters that taxpayers money should be going to and helping inmates "get their jollies" is not one of them. I understand medication is an essential and no one should be refused health care but you've been the same sex this long why don't you wait 'til you get out and do it on your own time with your own money. After the sex change, if the taxpayers paid for it, will we all receive thank you cards with a nice photo of what our tax money bought? That is so ridiculous and disgusting. If these 3 men are looking to have female parts then that's just going to add to problems in jail. Might as well start putting men and women in the same prisons together if male inmates can go around getting free sex changes. This frustrates me so much. People will do anything. ANYTHING.

I would give to a homeless shelter.A lot of these shelters help to get families back on their feet.I hear that there is going to be a Mortgage Meltdown and that a lot of people will lose their homes. If that is true there will probably be an explosion in the homeless population.I hope that you win your Lawsuit.

I do not know if you are christian or not. Christians normally give to the church , and the church uses it in the mission fields .
That is the proper method. I once asked my minister about panhandlers and he gave me this advice , Give to the church and if they need help send them to us. We will weed out the abuser and help the needy. Thats Gods way.
Churches despite all the false bad publicity ,faithfully feed hungry, help the ill and elderly . Give medicine to those who need it. They already have a infrastucture in place to do the most good with the least amount of money. Because they do it daily daily daily daily, all over the world.

My parents are very wealthy and someday, I will be, too. If I'm still here, I plan to set up a foundation to help abused children. I don't need to live in a mansion, drive an expensive car, and wear the latest fashions when there are suffering children all around me. It just wouldn't be the right thing to do.

I would contribute to a charity that helps disadvantaged or homeless youth get some security in their life so they can move past being desperate over their physical needs and instead move forward on things that help them become contributing citizens.
Children are our future leaders.. we can't let any of them be neglected.

We were in a similar situation; part of the money went to a children's home. Best investment we ever made!

Edit: OK, OK, OK, it was a bit off color but, I didn't read the question. I was on a tear. I was full of beans. what do you want from me.
Take care of your familey for as long as you can. Set up funds that mature so that it can't be mismanaged by imatutrity or greed. The rest of the world should be a distant second in your list of priorties. By helping your familey you are helping humanity greatly.

If it was me, I would donate the money to my Pastor. We are a small but growing none denominational church. The church is in the basement of a daycare center. We have been praying for a church to call our own. I would buy a church to call our own.
