The best guest rooms I have stayed in had: a comfy bed, a bed table with a lamp and radio/cd player, a chair, a closet with lots of hangers, and a bathroom close by. Nice little touches are: bottled water, a few good books or magazines, a writing desk, and a small dresser. Think of the best hotel room you've ever visited and try to duplicate it.
