because i am quite friendly with this lad and every is saying that i love him but i don't!!!! so whycan't people realise that boys and girls can be friends??

Wish I knew - I have loads of male friends but so far according to other people I have had affairs with most of them, or some guys I have known for a while think I am romantically/sexually interested in them when I'm not.
My husband knows all my male friends and knows I would never stray but it does make things really awkward when people start gossiping just because I've been sat in the pub talking to a guy on my own.
I find chatting to guys easier but I find other peoples issues about male and female friendship really strange.

I don't know, but I know how you feel.
Most of my friends are guys, because I like to talk about cars and sports and stuff, and most girls don't know what I'm talking about. So, I hang out with the guys. Besides, so many girls these days are stuck up, and not as many guys are. I think the people who don't realize that guys and girls can be just friends are either jealous, or they are bored and need to get a life, so they are making stuff up about you. They probably hope that if you are no longer friends with this guy, then maybe he will be interested in them. As I said before, these are just guesses, and I know how you feel.

Women can be just friends with a guy but a guy can't be just friends with a girl unless she is not attractive. If the guy is pretending to be your friend, I guarantee he is scheming a way to get in your pants. Unless of course you are unattractive and then he is using you to get into some other girls pants by pretending to be sensitive or some other crap.
Women are so gullible that you don't see the truth. The ONLY other way a guy can be friends with a woman is if he is gay.
I hate to say it but it is the truth. I'm old enough where I don't care anymore and will tell you like it is.

I think that people understand it but they are either jealous or stupid. Guys and girls can be friends without jumping into bed together! I have found that some of my better friends are guys, just for the simple fact that they aren't moody!! So don't worry about the people that don't or can't understand it, they need to be more open minded! :o)

Many people do realize that. Perhaps those that say you are in love with the lad just aren't mature enough to understand that not all opposite sex relationships are romantic.

I'll tell you this though, I have a lot of girl friends and a lot of thought comes up to my head on what would i do with them but i dont because they're with someone.
If all my girl friends asked me to have relations with them, 99.99999% i'll say yes..
its just how guys are, every girl they hang out with they think about it in one way or another.

you needn't care what other people say if they don't even understand you.
I always have male friend,very close one,and some people do seem to think we are a pair. I explained once, if they don't get it,i don't care.
i live my own life,i don't care what other people think.
