about the Atheists, why can't they have a big book?

We atheists have "When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops" by George Carlin
It's not big, but we value quality over quantity.

There is no evidence one way or the other for the existence of God. Atheist can no more prove his nonexistence than the religious can prove his existence. It's a matter of faith and fear. Both sides have faith that they are right, but neither has any evidence.
The fearful cannot go it alone so they need some external authoritarian guide, hence the Bible, Koran, etc, which are internally self referential but do a wonderful job of setting an argument in which fear is used to persuade.
Those who are not fearful aren't persuaded by authoritarian techniques.
Here's the real truth: Both of you are wrong because you can't or won't see beyond your very limited points of view.

We have ALL the books, religious and secular, and know they all have the same value as all were written by HUMANS. An intelligent Atheist (whoops, a bit redundant there) is well read and can use any and all books as proof for their beliefs - even the bible and Quoran.

I see atheists quoting the Bible all the time on the religion&spirituality section.

The Bible isnt only for Christians!

The route without doubt and most important as an individual to simply quote your own random thoughts and philosophy! This most probably could spark some interesting discussions!

I don't need a big book. Thats the best thing about atheism. We don't need to live by the book. Atheists believe in different things. For instance, I might believe in the words of Buddha, but others might not.

Lemur,
I suggest that you begin studying the "World Guide to Life in the Forest". It is very refreshing and a wonderful change from all of man's worries. Have a great holiday with your friends and family!!
Thanks,

We neither need or want to live our lives according to a book. In my case it's because I've already wasted a couple years of my life following one of the two you mentioned.

Richard Dawkins (pbuh) is proud of me now.

I hope that nobody comes up with the idea of Dawkins now. His book might be interesting but we atheists do not have any sort of bible and we do not need one.

The whole point of atheism is that there are no prefabricated answers on everything. There is science, but science is a process of research and discussion that will always produce new insights and render others obsolete.
