I believe you can get some trial versions of Vista, do some research to find a site.
I would not recommend Vista, but it's your call.

Yes Vista has lot's of problem's but many people will buy it just because they think that it's cool. I have seen a lot of posts here asking for help with vista. Also, it seems that some anticipated the problems and are running it as a dual boot with a Linux OS or Windows.

Hello,

(ANS) Even if you got a copy of Windows Vista for free I think you'd be rather disappointed. I certainly was, in fact I nearly fell off my chair the first time I saw Vista because it looks so much like Apple OS X. Why? Vista is totally over hyped and is totally over rated anyway.

**If you want my honest opinion about vista (bear in mind I have used every version of Windows since MS-DOS & Windows was created) I wouldn't buy it, and I wouldn't bother installing it either, Vista is about as good as windows ME.

**Vista is Big, I mean its REALLY really big, ITS MASSIVE!! It just gobbles memory for breakfast but is still slow despite this. It also gobbles disk space.

Frankly, Its nothing short of Microsoft Bloat-ware, you can forget trying to run Vista on an old XP computer as it wont cut the mustard. You need a new computer hardware to install & run Vista.

**Vista is over stuffed and is way too complicated & has FAR too many features by contrast to windows XP. Not only do you need new high specification hardware but you need to have new vista compatible drivers and even vista compatible software. i.e. NOT all software works or will play happily with Vista. Vista is a step backwards for windows in my opinion, as you cannot improve on XP.

Sorry to be the giver of bad news but the answer is you can't. You can buy the programme in DVD form in lots of shops (Currys, Comet, PC World) but you can't download it for free. If Microsoft gave stuff away for nothing Bill Gates wouldn't be the richest man in the universe.
