also my SIXAXIS controller just flashes when it is plugged in or wireless, and it does not work

(the controller works in the playstation os)

Correct me if I am wrong Pedro G but wasn't it sony that told the world about using other operating systems?

i was lent the linux disc by a friend and i put it on and got as far as using a computer without a keyboard goes (not far).

So must I use a usb keyboard to get back to the playstation os?

From Linux environment, you can switch the environment, using "boot-game-os" command.
Not sure how you're using Linux without a keyboard though, and I wouldn't.

Previous answere is right. Try that command. BTW, one of the requirements for installation of any Linux OS is a USB keyboard. It's a must. And it's not expensive.

well you should've put linux on the PS3, if you got a warranty on that know it is canceled. Well go to the linux website and find out how to remove it.

and No your warranty is fine..... Or the option wouldn't of been built into the ps3
