Sure it was slanted, what do you expect, Christianity has been slanted since the stories were first told by people that couldn't read or write for example Mathew, Mark, Luke and John, the first writing of Christ, didn't start until Paul became a convert, that was 70 years after Christ had died.

The first version did But Martin Luther took them out. Some will Say the Catholics added them, but at the time of Jesus the Septuagint was the commonly used Bible, and it included the deuterocanonicals. The Jews canonized without them in AD 90 to distance themselves from this new sect called Christians, but this was 55 years after the new church was founded by Jesus, so the Jewish leaders had lost their moral authority to the Christian leaders, (Christianity is simply a maturing of Judaism). The Jews still believe in and use them though. For instance, Hanukkah come out of second Maccabees. Jesus used them too. In fact, he defends the book of Tobit (one of my favorites) in Matthew 22:23-32 That story is the book of Tobit (well, part of it anyway) Or the Golden Rule is originally in Sirach But here's the real thing. If the Catholic church got these books wrong- and Martin Luther said they also got james, 2 Peter and revelation wrong- How do you know they got Any of the them right? Maybe John shouldn't be in there and the shepherd of Hermas and the Gospel of Thomas should. With as many books as there were and the importance of this book, you have to accept that the Catholic church had the holy spirit guiding them, or they could be totally wrong. And if they were right about the books in the Protestant bible (due to the holy spirit), then the had to be right about the rest of it.

I don't think King James worked for FNC....
However, I think that those who worked to translate the bible for King James did so with their political & sociological climate in mind, and the KJV reflects that, as well as the bibles that have followed.
For example, one word in Hebrew or in Greek may have several different meanings in English, and they chose the one that best fit with their mindset.
That is why it's important to do word studies.

A lot. Jews and Christians were so close together that the translation was written to seperate the two groups or else they might have melded into one religion. That's why there are so many anti-jewish remarks in the New Testament.

Those, who under orders by King James to translate the existing scriptures into English, admitted that what they had done would have to do until more infomation became available - which it did.

They seem to have made a genuine effort to research as close to original texts as possible, and to render an accurate translation, with two caveats:
The translations conformed to the Christian version of the meaning of certain verses, such as those in the OT supposedly presaging Jesus.
They used a deliberately anachronistic form of English, in order to make the result seem more antique and authoritative.

One version I've heard is that they threw all of the Bible books for possible inclusion on a table. Those that stayed on the table were in and those that fell on the floor were out. Maybe that's how Fox do their news editorials.

almost every chapter and verse was slanted when it was translated....books were conciously left out or altered...the stories of strong women were deleted....
If you want to understand the ture word of God...read the Aramaic/Hebrew texts...and listen to the voice of God in your own heart
