The more I learned the LESS I believed until I realized i did not believe the words i was singing/saying anymore. So why lie? Now I'm an Atheist. My main question is were many other Atheists christians or of another faith first?

NO PREACHING. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN IT & IT WILL BE REPORTED AS HARASSMENT.

I was raised Christian, and became an Atheist at 16. I spent 7 years as an Atheist. Found Paganism at 23, and have been Pagan since then. I'm not preaching. Your path is just as right for you as mine is for me. (And, for 7 years, being an Atheist was right for me...so, there you go.)

Edit: Are me and haysoos the only ones who read the question?

I grew up in Catholic schools and went to church regularly. I was scorned for not being one of them (I was baptized Lutheran) and after studying the bible extensively, when I was 17 I decided that there was another path for me. I have been pagan ever since then and have never been happier with any other choice I have made.

Each person needs to do what makes them happy, otherwise what is the point?

It is hard to believe in something you cannot see. I think that there are many people that fall away from the faith due to bad influences in the church or poor doctrine. I do not know the reason..this is just my opinion. I agree that there is no reason to lie about it. If you do not believe, you simply do not believe.

Ok, well first of all, you can't successfully report someone for "preaching," i.e. saying what you don't want to hear. When the report is overturned, you'll be penalized.

Yes, there are ALOT of people who started out as Christians and then realized they didn't believe. The Bible actually states this would happen in the end times.

EDIT: LOL @ eberry.

amazing question. Assuming the existence of God and Heaven, and given your very astute commentary correct to the so-mentioned as unfastened do we've been given, that is clean that a baby raised as you describe does no longer, in certainty, be Heaven certain. Absent the possibility to exercising unfastened will, one can not decide for God over something. for this reason, the path to Heaven's door is blocked. i assume that is real that young little ones will question their mothers and fathers' efforts at brainwashing (many people have), yet yet we've those fundamentalists who call for adherence to a faith doctrine, and that's the youngsters of those people who could be denied Heaven. humorous that, because of the fact a majority of those individuals are oftentimes people who spend their lives indignant and embittered correct to the international around them, seeing as they try this they are somewhat on my own of their extremism.

I was raised an Athiest before I became a Christian. Similar to you, I realized that I did not believe what I was being taught. I became a Christian because it makes me happy. I can think of no other reason to chose a religion (or lack of religion) other than it makes you happy and puts you at peace.

Maybe it is because they taught you Catholic/Pagan lies and not the Truth! I am so sorry for you, but perhaps you will decide, some time in the near future, to study for yourself, and stop letting others 'preach' their lies to you.

I went to Catholic school, but I was always an atheist - there never was any period when I believed any of it.

Sounds like to me you let the devil change your opion and not let you see the truth in the words of the Bible. try to study not not just give up.
