Of course December 25 is not true.
The angel said to Mary that Elisabeth was in her 6th month. So maybe Jesus was born 6 months after John the baptist. No one knows the true date.Shepherds were in the field with their sheep at night so it must have been warm enough. There must have been enough to eat for the sheep.

Around the Spring equinox, is the best guess. That is based on various scriptural details and what we know about the skies around that time: something about shepherds not being out watching flocks in the dead of winter and also of the planets Jupiter and Saturn forming a syzygy in the sky next to a star that exploded quickly and flared brightly for a few nights: all 3 might have looked like one big star and have been what Matthew records in his gospel as the star the magi followed.

Jesus evidently was born in the month of Ethanim (September-October) of the year 2 B.C.E., was baptized about the same time of the year in 29 C.E., and died about 3:00 p.m. on Friday, the 14th day of the spring month of Nisan (March-April), 33 C.E. The basis for these dates is as follows:

Jesus was born approximately six months after the birth of his relative John (the Baptizer), during the rule of Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus (31 B.C.E.–14 C.E.) and the Syrian governorship of Quirinius, and toward the close of the reign of Herod the Great over Judea.

Well, I hacked the Bat computer and deduced that Jesus was born as a test-tube in-vitro experiment using only bamboo punji sticks and the semen of an egyptian king.

The day is irrellevant because we screwed up keeping track of what day it actually IS several times since then. Originally, though, it was a Tuesday.

What day were YOU born, prove it. The only evidence we have of the actual birth of Christ is the report of those who witnessed it. The same for you. You only know exactly when you were born because someone, perhaps your mom or the people at the hospital told the vital statistics department when you were born. Your proof of your birth (birth certificate or pass port) is only the word of those who witnessed it. (Actually the person who signed your birth certificate didn't actually witness it. They took the word of credible witnesses). That's what the Bible is, the report of credible witnesses. The actual date of his birth is no more relevant than your own. The fact is that you have lived, will die and will have impacted this earth som how. The same for Jesus: He lived, He died and his death and Resurrection impacted this earth.

There are billions of people who have no historical record of their lives throughout history, that doesn't make their lives less real. An attempt at verifying the life of one man nearly 2000 years is about as close to futility as it comes. Accept it on faith, or don't. It's everyone's own personal choice.

This was common knowledge before the WTC attacks on 9/11/2001. Apparently al Qaeda knew it before most Christians though.

I heard September 29. I knew it wasn't in December and Christmas. And I would like to stop the facade of participating.........

You want me to prove it - look into my heart.
